3TribeJul 25, 2003
By Rob AZ
This cd should only be for diehard tribe fans for the few unreleased tracks and remixes.
Any fan who has never gotten into ATQ should pick up anthology, as it features more of their better songs. Its sort of a teaser tho, because Peoples instinctive travels, low end theory, and midnight marauders are all perfect albums. If you have the money buy all three of those. Even anthology doesnt have enuff room to cover all of their songs. They would need atleast 3 discs to cover the greatness ATQ has made. Those 3 albums are simply the some of the best hip hop albums ever made. Instead of forkin out 15 bucks for a greatest hits album, look for their first 3 at reasonable prices, because one tribe cd would just be cheating yourself

3A nice addition for diehards.Jun 24, 2003

If you're a HUGE Tribe fan, you'll probably want to pick this CD up just for the unreleased tracks. For those who are looking mainly for the "Hits" rather than the remixes and rarities, try "Anthology" or any of their first three albums.

Although the CD collects a number of excellent, funky, jazz-flavored hip-hop tracks ("Award Tour" "Can I Kick It?" "Scenario"), there aren't enough BIG hits for the casual listener here. The remixes included (only two tracks-"Oh My God" and "Lyrics To Go") aren't anything worth rushing out to buy. And for the diehards, the unreleased tracks (again, only two-"Mr. Incognito" and "The Night He Got Caught") were probably unreleased for a reason: they aren't that good.

The remaining tracks are simply songs collected from soundtrack contributions by the group--and they aren't that stellar either. Don't get me wrong, Tribe is one of my favorite groups of all time. But in this case, spend your money on "People's Instinctive Travels," "Anthology," or "The Low End Theory" before buying this one.

5I still give it 5Dec 03, 2005

Because there is a remix to Lyrics to go that is unbelieveable and the other songs I've already heard and liked so I still give it 5 stars (Classics are Classics even if they are on another album) anyway get this if you are a true Tribe fan like me!

4I great teaser from a great groupAug 11, 2003

I really a agree with rob from AZ. If you can get the all 4 of the groups cd's get them ,i cant think of a bad tribe song.
If you are new to the tribe get this cd and you will be hooked for life and upset that they broke up.

4Good OverviewJul 07, 2003
By A customer "mistermaxxx"
while there are better albums to get by A Tribe Called Quest this Set brings a good mix of there Hits&Re-Mixes&some rare tracks here&there.the problem is that a Tribe Called Quest to Me got pushed away to soon before they had a chance to really hit there musical Peak.this is a good set though.
