& Oates all the way.Sep 01, 2010 You think of the 80's and 90's and you think of Hall & Oates. All of the great songs you grew up with and still sing along to. Great collection for the fans.
Nice song selection and GOOD MASTERING!Jul 29, 2010 I rarely write reviews unless the product is really bad and I want to shy people away from it, or REALLY GOOD as thankfully it is for this package.
Something I appreciate is good sound quality especially in these compilations. I was unimpressed with the brickwalling in my previous "Essentials" H&O 2CD set from 2004/2005 timeframe. I was quite impressed however with this box set. The sound has been updated without brickwalling and thankfully the mastering has not been a casualty of the "loudness wars". Kudos to Sony Legacy. Please keep it this way for future pop/rock releases!
Hall and Oates soulful and sweetJul 11, 2010 Not just for the die hard fans like myself, but for anyone who enjoys the progression of the Philadelphia sound. A truly amazing musical experience from the best selling pop duo ever...
Ear candyJul 06, 2010 A four-hour love fest for an H & O fanatic like me. Last song in the box ("Dreamer") need warning label: may rip out your heart and leave you crying over the shreds! Early 70's words, 2009 voice, just gets right to me every time I listen. And that's often.
