3AC/DC BackTracks Deluxe Collector's EditionOct 29, 2009
By FightFan
For starters this set is not cheap. You can save yourself some money by ordering it straight from Sony [...].

Anyway back to the review. If you are a diehard AC/DC fan then all of this material will not be new to you. Most will already have the early Australian releases. The Krone Circus show is unique in the fact the venue is small. The boxset candy is pretty cool. The book and the 3 photo's from the studio are my favorites. The CD's as well as the DVD's will arrived with suttle surface scratches. This is due to the coardboard sleeve that they are shipped/stored. I immediately changed mine to jewel cases. If you are OCD about your discs, as I am, then you will join me in telling the artists and the recording labels that digi-packs and paper sleeves suck and accomplish nothing more than damaging the CD's and DVD's stored therein. I wish they would just stick with the original jewel case.

Bottom line: High price + AC/DC = I don't care I have to have it.

5A Must Have For Di-Hard FansAug 15, 2010
By Gary Wozniak
If you're a long time fan, you will love this trip down memory lane with the replica memorabilia and the old Australian releases. Or, if you're a new fan like me who wasn't around to experience the band from early on, you will enjoy this connection to the past you missed. Also if you own the Family Jewels DVDs, this brings the set up to date up through the Black Ice videos. If you are trying to collect live concerts from AC/DC, this set includes a hard to find full-length concert from the Circus Krone July 17, 2003. While the Circus Krone concert doesn't match near the spectacle of the Donington show or the No Bull show from the Ballbreaker tour, it does catalog live performances of the classics as well as some of the more forgotten tracks such as "What's Next to the Moon". All in all, this is a must have for serious fans of the greatest rock band of all time.

3Bonus material from collector's edition...??May 15, 2011
By jpgr4ever "jpgr4ever"
I wish they would just release the extra 3rd cd of bonus material and the Circus Krone dvd separately since the deluxe collector's edition is no longer available, and way too expensive (over $200 usually). I also believe Family Jewels should be reissued as a 3 dvd set now... even on bluray would be nice!

5LOCK THIS $&@% UP IN A BIN!!!!!!Nov 21, 2009
By wally gator "the only"
I ain't got time myself for the amplifier, but I want that rarities LP! It ain't that AC/DC ain't worth the dime to spare on this one, it's just that I probably can't see myself buying this one. But I MIGHT find some exspensive bloke who has it on his coffee table so I can grab it up!!! Safe lock this thing man! The girlfriend might be trying to play the DVD's when you ain't home... not that theres anything wrong with that... just don't let her lend them to the mechanic!

The vinyl is friggin sick! I'm happy enough to have a CD thats in proper condition of the rarities... like CARRY ME HOME (easily top shelf BON) but to get that on the vinyl press along with COLD HEARTED MAN (easily top shelf as well) and ROCK IN PEACE (rawks) and also STICK AROUND (the sleaziest cut from Australian High Voltage) there is also some trashy eighties Jones and a nice suprise in CYBERSPACE, the thrilling sequel song to Who Made Who... (F you!)AC/DC are the GREATEST rock band ever. I'm phsyched I got the CD for beans, but you CLAM folk should print up some copies. I'm coming. ........For now, play yer guitars on the amp box to some crazy assst shiiiiiit on yer LP. Play it!!!! Collectors LP"s aint worth more a damn unless you SPIN THEM! This is a box that rocks!
