This shocked me Serious likeSep 19, 1999
I have loved AC/DC ever since problably about 79' I believe and I finally bought 74' Jailbreak this week. This cd was released in 84' and includes "jailbreak" which was recorded in 76' but for some reason was never included in any release other than this one. "You ain't got a hold on me" is also included and it was recorded in 74'. The title song Jailbreak is really a piece of work. I would have been a stellar song on any of AC/DC's albums during the 70's heyday. This cd blew me away the first time I listend to it. I have heard Jailbreak once or twice over the years but I didn't know what I was missing. It really brings out Bon's style in the same way that Can I sit next to you girl, Dirty eyes, Rock and roll singer, and whole lotta rosie do. If you are a fan who just stresses over the fact that Bon died and that other guy took over then you are in luck. Maybe it is new to you too and your in for a real treat. Nothing meant bad torward Brian but there was no one on this earth who could replace the Nasty little Bonfire. By the way why did angus and malcolm put Back In Black in Bonfire box set and not this cd????????????????????????????????????Thank you Thank you people I am glad you liked the show -- yes -- yes goodnite and God Bless--(Bon 75')Rip

Good, But Somewhat IncompleteJun 04, 2000
By Bill R. Moore This is a good album, but I can't see giving it 5 stars. I mean, the title track is possibly the best song they ever did with Bon at the helm, but that's really the only great song on here. None of the rest are bad by any means, but they're not classic either. The cover of Baby Please Don't God is quite good though, as is Soul Stripper. I guess I like this album more than I think I do.However, it is short, and they should've added more songs to it during the remastering process. Despite this album and Volts from Bonfire there are still a handful of AC/DC tracks that have yet to be released in America. This shouldn't be! All in all, this is a worthy album though, because of the title track, and because it's generally cheaper than their other cds.

Great old AC/CDNov 24, 1999
By Mike Swanson This short, bluesy collection shows a very creative band with a flamin' guitar man and a clever, rowdy vocalist. The title track is still one of my all time rock favorites: Simple, direct and gets you in the gut. Bon Scott's wasteful demise really prevented this band from reaching its true potential. Enjoy all 5 tunes on this CD with a beer and play some air guitar.

In desperate need of an overhaulJan 09, 2001
I really can't see how Atlantic records can justify selling this for the same price as "Dirty Deeds," "High Voltage," "Powerage," or "Let There Be Rock," especially in the age of the archival CD release. It's WAY too short, especially when you consider all of the unreleased-in-the-US songs from the Bon Scott era that could have been added to flesh this out. How about the early pre-Bon single "Can I Sit Next To You Girl/Rockin' In The Parlor?" Live tracks, anything! Make it worth the money! Look at what an excellent job MCA did with the Who's "Odds & Sods" reissue, or Columbia did with the Clash's "Super Black Market Clash." Don't misunderstand...the music's great, but the package [stinks]. AC/DC's fans should be treated with a little more respect than this.

CRUSHING, BRUTAL GUITAR RIFFS WILL KNOCK YOU ON YOUR ***!Sep 24, 1999
All you have to do is listen to the incredible title track and you will realize that early ac/dc was one of the purest, most ferocious rock bands there ever was. At a time when goofy "experimental rock"(Yes, Supertramp) and disco polluted the radio waves, Bon and the boys were dishing out some of the nastiest songs ever recorded. The title track alone is worth the price, and it makes today's "bad boy" bands(Bizkit, Korn) sound like talentless wussies.
